Best Time to Visit
Animals tend to be most active and visitor attendance tends to be lowest early in the morning and just prior to closing. Looking for solitude? Try visiting during the fall. School crowds are nominal and the weather is fabulous! School group visits are popular each morning March through May. This is a great time to visit if you enjoy the hustle and bustle of youngsters exploring their Zoo.
Visit Length
You should allow yourself two hours to see most of the Zoo. Even better, plan to visit often, and really explore one part of the Zoo on each visit.
Amenities
Maps and self-guided tour brochures are available at the entrance in English and Spanish. A variety of snacks, drinks, and lunch options are available at The Zoofari Café. The Jungle Market offers a wide range of souvenirs, books, toys, and clothing. Food service and gift shopping are available during regular business hours.
