The places he exposed and the people he interviewed were truly unique and yet oftentimes true Arizonans. But the days of good things usually fade into memory as times change, people pass away and the good Bill Leverton has long since retired.

However, you can still get a sense of those out of the way places by visiting Arizona Scenic Roads! This site takes you - the traveler - on a scenic trip down the highways and byways that is filled with incredible scenery as well as story rich accounts of the authentic and unusual.

You'll have a chance to discover the lesser visited parks and historical areas and see for yourself why the website - Arizona Scenic Roads is truly a hidden treasure.
Some years ago there used to be a segment on local television here in Phoenix called "On The Arizona Road" with Bill Leverton. Much like a local "Charles Kuralt," the beauty of the segments were that Leverton liked to focus on those "out of the way" places or those that are "off the beaten path" as it were.
