IHBA Lucas Oil Lakefest - 04/25/2008 - 04/27/2008
The thunder of the IHBA Lucas Oil world championship drag boat racing starts their season on the liquid quarter-mile at Firebird Lake. To be a player in the IHBA at Lakefest you must qualify to be in the field on Sunday. After playing in and out of the "bump spot" all weekend, only the top eight boats will compete in the final round on Sunday April, 27, 2008. Most racers that make it to the field will run under 5 seconds covering the quarter-mile at speeds exceeding 250 mph.
